my hair is very long and curly, i straighten and it looks so dry and puffy when i leave it down.i've used so many products to help it look straight, is it because my hair is to long that it looks all puffy and dry when i straighten it, would it help if i cut it and straightened it ,will it look less puffy. Also what products do u reccomend. I wanna leave my hair down straight for the first time without it looking all puffy and dry.

try using biolage shampoo %26amp; conditioner "smoothing therapie" and the serum, blow dry your hair with a ventilated brush then use a GOOD straightner

instead, try a curling spary or cream. Apply to hands and work through your hair. Then scrunch it. Something like Curls Up by Special Effects in a yellow bottle and purple lid work well.

i had this problem......but i got a 100 dollar straightener and then summer came and i started to leave my hair curly, the guys say they like my hair that way better but they say i can pull both off. what you do is get mousse gel and hairspray from pantene. put them all three in that order in you hair and scrunch you hair. DO NOT COMB IT! thats whats causes it to look puffy. if it frizzez a little it ok just touch it up with a curling iron. leave in conditioner sprays work miracles too :) REMEBER TO TRIMYOU SPLITS TOO

My daughter had the same problem as you but her hair was very wavy especially on the underside so she always wore it in a pony as she was tired of using all the different products on the market, and the straightening iron, etc. Last week her grandmother heard of someone in the next town that did straight perms so they went to do that. But instead ended up doing something called a magic straight perm that supposedly last any where from 10 to 12 months.

After this magic straight perm my daughter's hair looks so shiny %26amp; healthy and straight! She is now leaving it down for the first time in her short 13 years of life. It was a little costly (her's was $250.00) but if it last 10 to 12 months it's worth it.

You need to deep condition it after every wash, I do mean every wash, and use heat

I have the same problem. I get my hair professionally thinned out.. I also use biosilk serum before I blow dry it using a ceramic metal brush..Hope that helps:)

hey , i know exactly what u mean. i go through the same thing with my hair so my hairdresser recommends that as soon as it's straightened, wrap it at night so it won't frizz out while i'm asleep. and there's a product called iso plus or something like that she told me about for the moisture in my hair. haven't used it as yet but hey, she's a great hairstylist! so there's no need to cut it unless u hav split ends coz that kind of thing does make the hair look too full as well.

Try paves it's a straightening cream for curly hair. Your hair doesn't need to be cut, u just need to find the right products to straighten it with. Wash it with a moisturizing shampoo then use a deep conditioner. Afterwards, try putting a balm in it like vo5 before you put the straightening cream in. I know it sounds like alot, but after a while you'll learn the right amount of product to put in your hair and they will make it lay down very nice.
