I once left it for almost two months, hoping that it would come down; it just stood straight and made me look like a bushman. Especially the sides of my head. When my hair is long, it looks like a non-curly afro. I want soft hair for a change!

If you have hard water, you may need a water softener. My hair is this weird orangish blond due to the rust in ours. That can make hair brittle and hard. There are also oil treatments you can use to soften it, and leave on conditioners. I bet you have curly hair. Afro or not, I'm still dying of jealousy! : )

Is it dry or coarse? Maybe a hot oil treatment. you can get them in the drugstore. or get a flat iron but use heat protective spray so it doesnt become fried-like.

use a softning shampoo, like baby shampoo(makes hair really soft!) then straighten it
